LOBOS FINDS DRUGS, MOONSHINE, AND PISTOLS DURING TRAFFIC STOP
Fayette County’s star K-9 Lobos made another bust Monday, sniffing out contraband including cocaine, marijuana, and moonshine during a traffic stop.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 1 p.m. Sgt. Randy Thumann and Lobos stopped a Ford F-350 pulling a utility trailer.
Thumann observed usual behavior from the three occupants of the car. Consent was not given to search the vehicle, so Lobos conducted an exterior sweep of the truck and trailer.
Lobos alerted to several areas of the vehicle. A search of the truck turned up cocaine, marijuana, a variety of other dangerous drugs, moonshine and four pistols.
29-year-old Robert Brown of Eutawville, South Carolina, 37-year-old Alexander Whalen of Windsor, South Carolina, and 59-year-old Thomas Burriss of Lake Panasoffkee, Florida were arrested.
All three men are charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, unlawful carrying of a weapon, possession of dangerous drugs, and possession of an illicit beverage.
