KATHRYN MARSHALL NAMED NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Brenahm Cubette Junior Kathryn Marshall has been named a National High School Player of the Week by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Marshal, who received the honor for the South Central Region, hit .846 (12-15) with 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and 9 runs scored last week. The Cubettes finished the week with 5 wins and only a single loss. Marshall started the week going 3-3 against Magnolia West with 2 doubles and a home run. She then had 5 RBIs in the Cubbette victory over Round Rock 8-1. She also had home runs against Midland Lee and Aledo.
According to the website Max Preps, Marshall is tied for the national lead in home runs with 11, and is leading the nation alone in slugging percentage at 1.666.
The Cubettes next game is tonight at 7:00 PM against Tomball Memorial. KWHI will broadcast the game live, along with election coverage, beginning with the pregame at 6:40 PM.
