BRENHAM FFA WILDLIFE TEAM TAKES 1ST PLACE AT BLINN CDE

  

The Brenham FFA wildlife team took first place in the first annual Blinn College Invitational Career Development Event on Friday. Participants were required to identify plants and determine their use for wildlife species, as well as identify wildlife species and wildlife tools. In addition to scoring deer and aging deer by teeth, participants were required to take an exam over wildlife and hunter safety, and be familiar with game laws. They also had to evaluate habitats and make recommendations for improvement. Individual team members also scored well, including RC Nelson 1st place, Carter Yackel 2nd place, Allen Schwartz 3rd place, and Raleigh Scherer 5th place.  Story and photo courtesy of Brenham ISD.
