NEW LANDOWNER FIELD DAY FRIDAY MAY 18

  

New owners of small farms and ranches in the area may be interested in an upcoming New Landowner Educational Series presented by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension.

This Friday, May 18th, Pleasant View Farm in northeast Washington County will host a Field Day program titled “Soil, Forage and Livestock for Small Acreage”.  Topics to be covered include soil health basics, pasture grasses and forages for our area, livestock for mall acreage, and managing livestock and wildlife for maximum potential.  Registration is from 1:00 to 1:30 Friday afternoon, with the program from 1:30 -5:00.  The cost is $20 per person, and drinks and refreshments are included.  Pleasant View Farm is located at 12383 FM 1155, northeast of Brenham.  The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Educational Programs are sponsored by Capital Farm Credit of LaGrange and Bellville, and Citizens State Bank of Somerville.
