MAGNOLIA SS GROSHANS SELECTED IN FIRST ROUND OF MLB DRAFT

A Magnolia High School Baseball player has been selected in the first round of the Major League Baseball Draft.

Shortstop Jordan Groshans of the Magnolia Bulldogs was selected with the 12th overall pick by the Toronto Blue Jays.  Groshans was recently named First-Team All-District in 20/5A.

Groshan’s teammate Adam Kloffenstein, a right-handed pitcher is expected to go in the early rounds as well.  Kloffenstein was named District 20/5A MVP this past season.

Meanwhile, former Tomball Cougar Josh Breaux, a freshman catcher at McLennan Junior College was selected in the second round by the New York Yankees.
