Championship Bull Ridings is set to get underway this weekend in Giddings.

The event, presented by the Lee County Sheriff’s Posse (LCSP), is a part of a series of events being held in the area this week.  Mark Goodson, with the Sheriff’s Posse, reminds people to check out the volunteer fire department’s barbecue this Wednesday.

For Saturday’s championship, Goodson says seating in the LCSP Covered Arena will fill up fast, so come early to guarantee a seat.  He also says there are still spots available for the Kids’ Mutton Bustin’.

Tickets will run $20 at the gate, with advance tickets at $15.  Kids 7-12 are $5, with no cost for kids 6 and under.  Snake River Red will perform on the LCSP Pavilion Stage after the bull riding.
