FAITH MISSION RECOGNIZED AT COMMISSIONERS MEETING
Faith Mission and its SMART program were recognized at today’s (Tuesday) Washington County Commissioners meeting.
Commissioners passed a resolution, detailing the success of the program. Commissioners Kirk Hanath and Luther Hueske commended the program, saying it’s given a hand up to many disadvantaged children. County Judge John Brieden recommended that the community expand support of the program.
Faith Mission’s Reverend Randy Wells spoke at today’s (Tuesday) meeting, saying education is the number one variable that gets people out of poverty, and that “education is elevation.”
Kiseman Wanza, part of the SMART program, says he wants to be a judge when he becomes older, so County Judge Brieden let him wear a judge’s cloak and adjourn today’s (Tuesday) meeting.
