BRENHAM TAKING APPLICATIONS FOR WARD 2 CITY COUNCIL POSITION
The Brenham City Council is now accepting applications for the unexpired term of former Ward 2 Councilmember Weldon Williams.
Anyone living in Ward 2 who is interested in serving on the council for the remainder of Williams’ term—which expires in May 2019—can go to the City Secretary’s office at Brenham City Hall and pick up an application. Applications are also available online at www.cityofbrenham.org.
Williams passed away on June 27th. The city council met in executive session Thursday to discuss the vacant council seat.
Brenham City Hall is located at 200 West Vulcan Street, and City Secretary Jeana Bellinger’s office can be found on the 2nd floor, Suite 203. The deadline for applications is Wednesday, August 15 at 3 p.m. For more information, call Bellinger at 979-337-7567.
