BRENHAM WOMAN SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS IN PRISON
A Brenham woman has been sentenced to 15 years in prison on each of three charges, in the latest session of the 21st Judicial District Court.
35-year old Vanessa Cardenas Martin Kapchinski pleaded guilty to Forgery, Exploitation of the Elderly and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Kapchinski was arrested on the Forgery and Exploitation charges in January of this year. She was arrested for Possession back in August of last year.
She was sentenced to 15 years on each of the three charges.

20-year old Devun Cooksey of Brenham, had his probation revoked on a pair of charges: Tampering with Physical Evidence from last year; and Evading Arrest from 2016.
Cooksey was sentenced to five years in prison.
29-year old Ethan Jeanes of Magnolia had his probation revoked for a 2014 arrest for Felony Driving While Intoxicated—3rd Offense.
Jeanes was sentenced to two years in prison.
27-year old Joshua Bryan of Breham had his probation revoked for a 2015 arrest for Probation of a Controlled Substance.
Bryan was sentenced to eight months in jail and fined $850.
19-year old Kendrick LeKeith Jackson of College Station was placed on 10 years’ probation for two charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Jackson was also ordered to pay $100 to shelter for Family Violence, have no contact with the victim, spend 180 days in the Washington County Jail, perform 50 hours community service and undergo drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment.
59-year old Charlotte Washington of Caldwell was placed on five years’ probation for her 2017 arrest for Injury to a Disabled Individual—a Second Degree Felony.
Washington was also fined $1500, ordered to spend 120 days in the Washington County Jail, 200 hours community service restitution and shall not work as a caretaker.
And, 36-year old Luke Wayne Harrisoin of Burton was sentenced to 115 days in the Washington County Jail fo Possession of a Controlled Substance.
