SUSPECTS SOUGHT IN NAVASOTA ROBBERY

  

Authorities in Navasota are searching for two men believed to have robbed a store at gunpoint Thursday night.

According to Navasota Chief of Police Shawn Myatt, the police department responded to a report of a robbery at the A&B Food Mart, in the 700 block of West Washington Avenue, around 11 p.m.

Police say the two men robbed the store, with one suspect openly showing a weapon.  Investigators say more than $1,000 was taken.

The suspects were described as light-skinned African American males with slender builds, and 5’4 to 5’10 in height.  Both were wearing dark clothes and gloves, with their faces covered.  Investigators are currently attempting to retrieve surveillance footage.
