BRAZOS VALLEY ‘TREE OF ANGELS’ CEREMONY, TUESDAY

The Brazos County District Attorney’s Office will host the sixteenth annual Tree of Angels Ceremony, Tuesday.

During the ceremony, victims’ families and friends place an Angel ornament on a Christmas tree in memory of their loved ones they have lost to violent crime.

The Tree of Angels was initiated in Austin in 1991 by People Against Violent Crime.  Over the past twenty years, Tree of An-gels has grown to include most counties in Texas.

After the ceremony, the Tree is moved to the Brazos County Courthouse where it remains on the third floor throughout the month of December.
