BRENHAM WOMAN CHARGED WITH ARSON AT BRYAN HOSPITAL

A Brenham woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly setting her bedsheets on fire at a Bryan hospital over the weekend.
54-year old Wendy Eilers is being held in the Brazos County Jail after her arrest Sunday afternoon.
Police say they were called out around 4:00 p.m., after hospital staff say they found her bed sheets on fire. Authorities say Eilers admitted to starting the fire with a cigarette lighter because she claims the nurses were ignoring her.
Staff put out the fire and evacuated the floor.
Eilers was taken into custody and charged with arson.

I’ve had the pleasure of encountering this woman before. I was working overnight at the gas station when the police pretty much left her there at the gas station. Not sure exactly what all happened…she claims that she was in the hospital and they released her but she had no one to pick her up. So…..she was dropped off by police to find a ride. She kept asking us for a ride home. Regardless I hope she get the necessary treatment for a possible mental issue. Praying for her!
was this woman mentally ill or under the influence of a prescribed medication?
