BRENHAM WOMAN CHARGED WITH ARSON AT BRYAN HOSPITAL

A Brenham woman has been arrested and charged after allegedly setting her bedsheets on fire at a Bryan hospital over the weekend.
54-year old Wendy Eilers is being held in the Brazos County Jail after her arrest Sunday afternoon.
Police say they were called out around 4:00 p.m., after hospital staff say they found her bed sheets on fire. Authorities say Eilers admitted to starting the fire with a cigarette lighter because she claims the nurses were ignoring her.
Staff put out the fire and evacuated the floor.
Eilers was taken into custody and charged with arson.
