US POSTAL SERVICE HALTING MAIL DELIVERIES WEDNESDAY FOR DAY OF MOURNING

The United States Postal Service (USPS) will suspend mail deliveries tomorrow (Wednesday), as part of the national day of mourning for former President George H.W. Bush.

USPS announced Monday in a statement that it will halt regular mail deliveries, retail services and administrative office activities on Wednesday.

USPS will provide limited package delivery services, to ensure that its network remains “fluid” and does not affect customers or business partners during the holiday season.

President Donald Trump issued a proclamation declaring the federal government will be closed Wednesday, for the national day of mourning.  Public buildings will fly their flags half-staff for 30 days, in honor of Bush.
