MASSIVE FIRE DESTROYS SEALY HOME

Updated Story #2: Sealy Fire Chief Kenny Willingham reports investigation of the fire has concluded, and the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.   It is said to have been electrical in nature.

 

Updated Story: A Sealy couple lost their home Tuesday night to a massive house fire.

Ernest McCoslin Sr. and Debbie McCoslin were forced out of their mobile home on 6800 Samuel Lane in Sealy, after the fire engulfed the building.

Sealy Fire Chief Kenny Willingham said the fire was reported around 6:30 p.m.  The Sealy Fire Department, along with the Cat Spring and San Felipe Volunteer Fire Departments responded, and extinguished the fire.

Willingham said no one was injured, but the home was a total loss.  Friends and family members say they lost everything they owned in the home, including their pets.

A GoFundMe has been set up for the couple, which can be found here. The Rotary Club of Sealy will accept donations on their behalf at tomorrow’s (Thursday) meeting.  In addition, donations can be dropped off at either Austin County State Bank location, in Sealy or Bellville.
