“TRAIN LIKE A CHAMPION” LIVESTOCK CLINIC SATURDAY IN BRENHAM
Washington County Fair exhibitors should consider making plans to attend this weekend’s multi-species livestock clinic in Brenham.
The “Train like a Champion” clinic will serve as a Fair species clinic for exhibitors in Broilers, Turkeys, Rabbits, Market Hogs, Carcass Hogs, Market Steers, Market Lambs, and Market Goats.
The clinic is designed to visit with families before they purchase their project for the fair, to help them have a positive experience. Some of the topics that will be covered include facilities, selection, daily management, feeding and nutrition, health, and showmanship.
County Extension Agent Charles Seely said, in order to obtain Fair meeting credit and show at the Fair, exhibitors for a majority of species are required to attend one of these clinics, held several times throughout the year.
This weekend’s meeting will be held Saturday starting at 9 a.m., at the Blinn College Rankin Ag Complex at 1409 Old Mill Creek Road in Brenham. Exhibitors only need to attend the clinic during the time of their species presentation. Animals are not needed to attend the clinic.
