BJHS 7TH GRADERS RECEIVE RECOGNITION AT WASHINGTON-ON-THE-BRAZOS STATE PARK
Several Brenham Junior High School students were recently named honorary Monument Scholars at Washington-on-the-Brazos State Park.

Students in the seventh grade Pre-AP Texas History classes took part in an essay contest, where they wrote on the topic “A Famous Texan Who Inspires Me”.
Abbey Cross, Madison Moran, Victoria Hernandez, and Thomas Morgan had their essays selected for special recognition by the staff at the state park. They were deemed honorary Monument Scholars for the opening of the Texas Independence Day celebration at the park.
This is the fourth year that seventh grade Pre-AP Texas History classes at Brenham Junior High have participated in the celebration.
