WASHINGTON CO. CASA TO HOLD EVENT FOR CHILDREN

  

Children throughout the county are invited to a free event, Tuesday at Firemen’s Park in Brenham.

The Washington County Child Welfare Board is hosting a free Child Abuse Awareness event, Tuesday, designed to bring awareness to child abuse and neglect.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The free event is scheduled from 4:00 to 7:00 PM next Tuesday at Fireman’s Park.

The Washington County Child Welfare board will have hot dogs, root beer floats and face painting.  The Brenham Police Department will have their SWAT vehicle on hand for the kids to look at.  The antique carousel will also be open for rides.

There will also be booths with information on child abuse/neglect, foster care adoption, CASA and other local agencies and resources for families.
