2019 WASHINGTON CO. “SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR” NOMINATIONS AVAILABLE
Nominations are now being accepted for Washington County’s 2019 “Small Business of the Year” Award.
The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, April 26th. The award will be presented at the 6th Annual Small Business Forum in Brenham on Wednesday, June 5th.
Criteria for this award include:
- Lasting contributions to the growth and well-being of the community.
- Evidence of high professional and business standards.
- Leadership for others to follow, within its industry and its workforce.
- Locally owned/operated.
Businesses from one to 100 employees are eligible. Business owners are allowed to submit their own businesses.
Forms can be picked up at the Washington County Chamber office at 314 South Austin Street in Brenham, or downloaded here. Nominations can also be done through a survey, found here.
This is the sixth year this award has been given by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. The prior years’ winners were:
2014 – RE/MAX Advantage (for a small business with 1-25 employees) and Brenham National Bank (size 26-100)
2015 – Home Sweet Farm Market & Biergarten (sole winner)
2016 - Kwik Kopy Business Center (size 1-25) and Glasco & Co. Landscaping (26-100)
2017 - Independence Coffee Co. (size 1-25) and Del Sol Food Co. (26-100)
2018 - Bliss Candy Co. (size 1-25) and South Texas Tack (26-100)
