PROBATED SENTENCE FOR FORMER FIVE OAKS RESIDENT FOR CHRISTMAS STROLL ROBBERY
A former resident of the now-defunct Five Oaks Achievement Center in New Ulm has been given a probated prison sentence for his role in a 2017 robbery in Brenham.

18-year-old Jeremiah Mitchell of Amarillo, a resident of the facility when he was arrested in December of 2017, was sentenced Thursday to six years in prison probated ten years. Mitchell will also have to perform 250 hours of community service, and undergo drug and alcohol evaluation.
Mitchel, along with four other Five Oaks residents, was arrested during the 2017 Brenham Christmas Stroll after they were said to have robbed a person near downtown Brenham.
Mitchell was initially sentenced last April to ten years probation. That probation was revoked last December by Judge Carson Campbell, who sentenced him to six years in prison. Mitchell was released by the court under shock probation, and he was given his new sentence Thursday.
Also sentenced in Thursday’s edition of 21st District Court:
26-year-old Alexander Jose Demuth of Brenham, sentenced to three years in prison for Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle. Demuth was arrested last June.
19-year-old Eduardo Michael Macejewski of Chappell Hill, who had his probation adjudicated and was sentenced to a year in jail for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Macejewski, who was arrested in August of 2017, must also pay $2,000 in restitution and a $1,500 fine.
20-year-old Raekwon Javar Bell of Brenham, also for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Bell, arrested last July, was given three years probation, and must perform 200 hours of community service and pay a $500 fine.
63-year-old Kenneth Jerome Bradley of Houston, sentenced to 180 days in jail for Forgery of a Financial Instrument. Bradley, arrested in January 2018, must also pay $2,458 in restitution and a $75 hot check fee.
33-year-old Christopher J. Smith of Brenham, who had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 14 months in jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Smith was arrested in June of 2015. He will also have to pay a $1,500 fine.
50-year-old Carrie Neile Craig of Brenham, sentenced to 120 days in the Washington County Jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Craig was arrested in February.
28-year-old Reya Dunee Williams of Houston, sentenced to two years probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Williams, who was arrested in October of 2017, will also have to perform 80 hours of community service, undergo drug and alcohol evaluation, and pay a $750 fine.
