AIRING OF THE QUILTS SATURDAY IN CHAPPELL HILL

  

This weekend, several locations in Chappell Hill will be displaying different kinds of quilts.

The Airing of the Quilts will be held Saturday from 10 to 3 p.m., rain or shine.  Hosted by the Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce, quilts will be displayed inside historic sites and outside stores in Chappell Hill.

There will also be a special exhibit of quilts from Gee’s Bend, a group of women and their ancestors who live or have lived in the isolated African-American hamlet of Gee’s Bend, Alabama, along the Alabama River.

Admission and parking for the event are free.  Food trucks will be available, and there will be quilts for sale.
