BRENHAM HIGH SCHOOL THEATRE OPENS PRODUCTION OF ‘A CHRISTMAS CAROL’ SUNDAY
A Christmastime classic takes center stage starting this weekend at Brenham High School.
Theatre students will present “A Christmas Carol”, a novella by Charles Dickens, beginning on Sunday and continuing through Thursday at the Brenham High School auditorium.
The story focuses on the cold-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge who hates Christmas, but changes his ways after being visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet to Come.
Jake Knowles, who plays as Ebenezer Scrooge, and Noble Pharaon, who plays as Young Scrooge and as Scrooge’s nephew, Fred, say the tale is a great way to remind people of what the Christmas season is all about: being kind to others. The two also say they and other students have enjoyed learning about the numerous adaptations of the story and making this interpretation unique.
Performances are at 2 p.m. on Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
General admission to the show is $10. To purchase tickets, go to https://cubcompany.booktix.com.
