SIBLINGS KILLED IN LEE CO. CRASH, ANOTHER SERIOUSLY HURT
Two siblings from Dime Box were killed and a third person was seriously injured in a fiery crash early Sunday morning in Lee County.
The accident occurred around 3:45 a.m. along Highway 21, between Lincoln and Old Dime Box.
According to DPS, the three occupants were traveling southwest on Highway 21 at a curve in the road when their vehicle left the roadway. The vehicle struck multiple trees and caught fire.
The driver, 26-year-old Drew Bailey Batiste Haas, and his brother, 18-year-old Trevor Wayne Batiste, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger, 18-year-old Dearius Lee Hodge of Dime Box, was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin with life-threatening injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
