BRENHAM COMMUNITY CELEBRATES RETIREMENT OF LOWELL OGLE
The City of Brenham bid farewell Thursday to one of its longest standing officials.
Around 100 people, including many friends and co-workers, came to Brenham City Hall to celebrate the retirement of Lowell Ogle, Assistant City Manager of Public Utilities.
Ogle announced in July that he would be leaving his position with the City of Brenham, after 35 years working there.
Ogle said he is thankful for the time working with the city, and that he looks forward to continuing to be a part of the community.
The gathering in the City Hall lobby featured catered food and refreshments, and even a saxophone player.
Ogle also had some parting thoughts for his co-workers.
Ogle’s official last day with the City is next Friday. He intends to take a new position with the Lower Colorado River Authority.
