BRENHAM POLICE INVESTIGATE SHOOTING TUESDAY NIGHT

  

Brenham Police are investigating a shooting that took place last (Tuesday) night.  Officers with the Brenham Police Dept. were dispatched to the 800 block of Pleasantview Avenue at 11:00 last (Tuesday) night in reference to a disturbance with shot fired call. Upon arrival, officers gathered information from the parties that were on scene and determined that a verbal argument had taken place. A short time later, a Washington County Deputy conducted a traffic stop near Highway 105 and Highway 50, on a vehicle that was seen driving erratically from the area of the initial call. Upon contact with the driver, the male victim who had been on the scene, had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg. At that point, the deputy applied a tourniquet near the wound, and EMS arrived shortly after and transported him to the hospital. Officers arrived back on location of the initial call and further investigation was conducted. At this time, this case is an active open investigation pending charges.
