DR. VANESSA SARFOH BEGINS WORK AS OB/GYN AT BAYLOR SCOTT AND WHITE IN BRENHAM
One of Baylor Scott and White’s new OB/GYNs in Brenham is now on the job.
Dr. Vanessa Sarfoh started her new position in Brenham on Monday, although she is not yet seeing patients, as she is currently going through orientation.
Dr. Sarfoh was hired in January alongside Dr. Christina Prendergast, who will begin her time in Brenham in August.
Dr. Sarfoh comes from The Center for Innovative GYN Care in Maryland. She earned two Bachelors of Science degrees in Biology and Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters of Public Health from the University at Albany, and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Hospital Board Chair Shirley Herring previously said that more information about Dr. Prendergast would be announced closer to her start date.
Herring also said previously that Dr. Aaron Campbell, who announced last January that he would no longer deliver babies full-time, would soon begin accepting OB patients and regularly delivering babies again. Dr. Campbell had continued to provide gynecology and backup labor and delivery services, while Baylor Scott and White searched for permanent OB/GYN support.
