POULTRY SHOW SATURDAY IN WHARTON FOR THOSE UNABLE TO SHOW AT HLSSR, RODEO AUSTIN
Students who were unable to show their poultry projects at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo or Rodeo Austin are invited to show them this weekend in Wharton.
The Rise Above Texas Poultry Show gets underway with gates opening at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday) morning at the Wharton County Fairgrounds, located at 6036 FM 961 Road.
The poultry sift will begin at 6 a.m. and wrap up around 9 a.m., with shows beginning at 10 a.m. Rules of the Houston Livestock Show will be followed.
As the event is one show, exhibitors may sale a turkey and a broiler, but cannot bring two sets of broilers—one for Austin and one for Houston. Donations will be accepted and put toward the premiums of all sale lots collectively. Concessions and drinks will be available.
