SNOOK MAN CHARGED WITH BRYAN MURDER

A Snook man has been charged with the murder of a Bryan woman, whose body was discovered inside her home last week.
24-year old Ike Dashawnne Newton has been arrested for the murder of 53-year old Lorette Aguirre.
According to Bryan Police, Newton was taken into custody at the police station after he willingly responded to a request for questioning.
He's currently in the Brazos County Detention Center with a $300,000 bond.
Aguirre’s body was found in her home, Friday night, after what authorities say was a violent assault.
Police say they don’t believe anyone else was involved, but their investigation is continuing.
