ONE INJURED IN EARLY MORNING ACCIDENT ON US 290

  

Emergency responders were called to a pair of accidents Saturday.

One person was injured in a crash just after 3:00 a.m. Saturday, on Highway 290 West between Brenham and Burton.

A 2012 Ford Fiesta struck a trailer being hauled by a Ford F450 Pickup.  The driver of the Fiesta was trapped inside the vehicle.

The Brenham Fire Department used its spreader and cutters to remove the door and assist Washington County EMS in removing the victim, who was then treated and transported by EMS.

Emergency personnel remained at the scene for over two-and-a-half hours.

Saturday morning, around 9:00, police, ems and firefighters were called to the intersection of 290 East and Chappell Hill Street for a three vehicle collision.

No one was reported seriously injured and the fire department cleaned up leaking fluids.
