TOTAL COVID-19 COUNT IN WASHINGTON CO. UP TO 365, ACTIVE COUNT TO 152 AFTER 15 NEW CASES MONDAY
Washington County reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 Monday, bringing the county’s total case count to 365 and its active count to 152.
Monday’s cases include 13 patients from Brenham, one from Burton, and one from Chappell Hill. They include nine women and six men, ranging in age from their teens to their 80s.
Of the 152 active cases, two patients are still hospitalized. The county has reported 181 recoveries and 32 deaths. According to the Washington County Joint Information Center (JIC), another previously confirmed case was removed from the county’s total case count after it received word the patient in question was not a county resident.
According to the JIC, the 365 positive cases—including recovered and deceased patients—make up 1.02 percent of the population within the county.
The county, as of Monday, has performed an estimated 4,148 COVID-19 tests.

‘The United States could get the spread of the novel coronavirus “under control” within a matter of weeks if everyone wore face coverings, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Robert Redfield said Tuesday.
He said masks — which can act as a barrier for respiratory droplets that can be propelled into the air an infected person coughs, shouts or sneezes — are among the most effective measures to prevent the spread of the virus. Redfield said he was “saddened” that the wearing of masks has become politicized.
“I think if we could get everybody to wear a mask right now, I think in four, six, eight weeks we could bring this epidemic under control,” Redfield said.’
WoW. That sounds simple. Maybe we ought to try it.
Blah, Blah, Blah !! Maybe Mr. Redfield should pay attention to what’s been happening in Florida and I’m sure the rest of the United States as well and see how the numbers are being “doctored” before he thinks what we should be doing!! And If the numbers would be reported correctly we would all see that this epidemic is under control!! This was reported on Fox & Friends this morning and also on Rush Limbaugh as well. It’s all about fear, panic, control and money and that’s what “saddens” me !!!

Those with CoVid19 account for 1.02 % of Washington County’s population. Of those 365, there have been 32 deaths. The death rate is less than 0.09%.
Granted, CoVid is a very serious virus, and we have guidelines in place TO protect ourselves.
Taking draconian actions due to fear is not who we are.

Okay Sheep, the count is up again! I thought all YOUR mask & glove wearing, sanitizing, staying away from people and staying cooped up in your homes was suppose to stop the spread of COVID 19!! Its not working my Sheep and in MY opinion it’s Political, after all this is an Election Year and this will all go away like magic after the November Election!!! I also believe its all about the money, hospitals alone can get upwards of $52,000 for a case (this was reported in the Houston Chronicle, and we all know how hungry hospitals are for money!!),and I also think the “books are being cooked” on the testing results and the deaths that are reported, they are being listed as a COVID 19 death regardless if it is or not, unless the families are diligent in making sure the Cause of Death is marked correct. There are more and more people coming forward saying that they signed up for a test, never followed thru on the test but received notification their test came back positive or being congratulated on being a recovery patient ! How can that be if they never followed thru on testing and then there are those whose test results cannot even be found!!!! I for one would like to see an investigation into all of this!! I know there are those of you out there who think like me, so lets contact our State Senator and Representative as well as the Lt Governor’s office, melt down the phone lines in Austin with our calls and ask them to look into this for us !!
