LAUREANO CLAIMS CINTRON MADE ‘DISGUSTING’ COMMENT PRIOR TO FIGHT
Oakland A’s outfielder Ramon Laureano claims Astros’ hitting coach Alex Cintron made a vile comment concerning Laureano’s mother, prompting him to charge the Astros' bench Sunday, leading to a melee.

After being hit by a pitch for the third time in the series and second time in the game, Laureano became involved in comments with the Astros’ bench. That’s when, Laureano told ESPN, Cintron degraded his mother.
Following the exchange, benches for both teams emptied. Laureano was ejected from the game.
Laureano said, he wishes he had chosen not to run toward the Astros' dugout and waste his time on Cintron. "I regret charging him because he's a loser."
Cintron is in his first year as Astros’ hitting coach. The team is hitting .234—40 points below last season.
Major League Baseball has not issued any discipline yet in the matter.
