POLICE RELEASE NAMES OF THREE KILLED IN PLANE CRASH AT BRYAN AIRPORT

  

Update @ 4:05 p.m.: Authorities have released the names of the three people who were killed Sunday afternoon in a plane crash at the Coulter Field airport in Bryan.

The three victims were identified by Bryan police as 54-year-old David Walker, 51-year-old Tamara Walker, and 21-year-old Victoria Walker, all of Farmersville, northeast of Dallas.

Several sources confirm the three were a father, mother, and daughter.  Victoria Walker was a senior at Texas A&M University.

Authorities have not released the name of the fourth passenger and lone survivor of the crash.  The survivor remains in critical condition at CHI St. Joseph in Bryan.

The plane that crashed was identified as a privately owned Piper PA-24-250 single-engine plane.

Bryan police have secured the south end of the runway for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) to conduct their investigation.

 

Original Story @ 7:27 a.m.: Three people were killed and one was critically injured after a plane crash Sunday afternoon at the Coulter Field airport in Bryan.

According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the plane, a single-engine Piper PA24, went down at the south end of the runway shortly before 2:30 p.m.  There were four people on board, with one being taken by helicopter to an area hospital.

Bryan police said they would remain at the scene until investigators from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) arrive this (Monday) morning.

The FAA said it will release the tail number of the aircraft after investigators verify it at the accident site.  The FAA will investigate alongside the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), who will lead the investigation.

The names of those on board have not been released.  The flight plan of the plane has not been identified.
