Stolen property from several cases had been recovered in adjacent counties by Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Thursday last week, Deputies with their Criminal Investigations Division followed up on information which resulted in the recovery of several stolen items in neighboring Austin County. Detective Garrett Durrenberger and the Austin County Sheriff’s Office located 2 cargo trailers full of equipment, 1 travel trailer and a motorcycle; all of which were reported stolen out of Fort Bend County, Houston and Midland.

On Tuesday, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit followed up on information which resulted in the recovery of an ATV and a dirt bike in neighboring Bastrop County. These items were originally reported stolen from the West Point area on September 19th. Detective Durrenberger shared the information with the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division and VICE Unit. A suspect was developed and a search warrant was executed by the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Office and the Fayette County Narcotics Unit in the Rosanky area of Bastrop County.
