BRENHAM “MOVIES IN THE PARK” BEGINS FRIDAY WITH “TOY STORY 4”

The City of Brenham’s 11th season of “Movies in the Park” kicks off tonight (Friday) at Hohlt Park.

The two-movie series will feature “Toy Story 4” tonight on the big screen at the Dr. Bobbie M. Dietrich Memorial Amphitheatre.  The movie, rated “G”, will begin approximately ten minutes after sunset, at about 7:15 p.m.

Typically beginning in late May or early June, the movie series was initially rescheduled to July due to COVID-19, but was pushed back again into October because of the ongoing pandemic.  Community Services Specialist Crystal Locke says the delay actually accommodates some of the requests from fans of the series.

In “Toy Story 4”, Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the gang embark on a road trip with Bonnie and a new toy named Forky.  The journey turns into an unexpected reunion as Woody's slight detour leads him to his long-lost friend Bo Peep.  As Woody and Bo discuss the old days, they soon start to realize that they're worlds apart when it comes to what they want from life as a toy.

Family seating areas at the Amphitheatre will be marked every six feet.  Face coverings will be required when unable to maintain six feet distancing from another individual not in the same household.

Presenting sponsor for this year’s films is Brannon Industrial Group.
