LOCAL CREWS CALLED TO PAIR OF ACCIDENTS

  

Emergency authorities were dispatched to a pair of minor accidents, Thursday.

Just after 3:30 p.m., workers were called to the 1500 block of State Highway 36 South, where an 18 wheeler had struck the pole the traffic light hangs on.

The driver of the truck was not injured.  The Brenham Fire Department used absorbent to clean up some oil from the truck.

Just after midnight, police and firefighters were called to the intersection of Tom Green and Tom Dee streets where a vehicle was found against a utility pole.

Everyone was out of the vehicle and the motor compartment was on fire.  The fire was extinguished by the Fire Department.

No injuries are reported.
