TAMPA BAY DRAWS FIRST BLOOD IN ALCS
The Tampa Bay Rays edged out the Astros in a pitchers' duel, Sunday night, to take the opener of the American League Championship Series, 2-1.
The Astros jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a first-inning home run by Jose Altuve--the only run Houston would score.
Tampa Bay tied the game in the fourth inning on a solo homer from Randy Arozarena. They took the lead in the fifth when number-nine hitter Mike Zunino singled off losing pitcher Framber Valdez and drove in Willie Adames.
Game two is set for Monday afternoon at 3:05 on TBS TV.
