WINEDALE TO HOLD VIRTUAL PRESENTATION ON SAN FELIPE PROJECT

The Winedale Historical Complex in Round Top will hold a virtual discussion about the San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site.

The public is invited Tuesday at noon to hear from Bryan McAuley, site manager at San Felipe de Austin, as he gives a quick overview of the San Felipe project, which culminated in the opening of a new visitor center in the spring of 2018.

The site commemorates the location where, in 1823, Stephen F. Austin established a headquarters for his colony in Mexican Texas.

Tuesday’s program will include discussion on a current outdoor exhibit project that will result in some representative buildings from one of the most significant blocks from the business district from the town.

To receive the link to the virtual presentation, contact Winedale Site Manager Tricia Blakistone at tricia.blakistone@austin.utexas.edu.
