FORMER CUB KENDARIN RAY HONORED FOR SATURDAY PERFORMANCE

Former Brenham Cub and current University of Tulsa safety Kendarin Ray has been named to the American Athletic Conference's Weekly Honor Roll.

Ray, a 6'4" sophomore, led a Tulsa defense that forced three turnovers against East Carolina, Saturday.

Ray totaled a team-high 9 tackles, including 7 solos, and had 2 pass breakups in Tulsa's 34-30 comeback victory.

Was a two-year starting quarterback at Brenham High School, where he was named All-District as a senior, throwing for 1,039 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushing for 1,163 yards and 11 TDs for Coach Glen West.

Kendarin is the son of Shiela Hughes and Richard Ray of Brenham.

Tulsa (3-1, 3-0 AAC) travels to play at Navy (3-4, 3-2 AAC) this Saturday at 11:00 a.m. (CT).
