THE BARNHILL CENTER GETS READY TO REOPEN WITH DARDEN SMITH & RAY BENSON

  

In less than a week the Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre (TBC) will reopen to live shows.

Saturday (11/14) marks the debut of the Darden Smith Singer/Songwriter Series.

For his first show of the series, Smith will feature Ray Benson, the founder and front man of the popular Western Swing band, Asleep at the Wheel.

Benson has earned nine Grammy Awards over the past forty years, and last year led Asleep At The Wheel’s 50th Anniversary Tour with sellout crowds across the country.

Benson will be hosted by Darden Smith, a Brenham native who is now based in Austin. Smith will bring some of Texas’ finest performers to Brenham with a series of shows on the Simon schedule.

The Barnhill Center will reopen with social distancing and guests must wear masks while not in their seats.

Tickets for all shows can be purchased by calling or visiting the Barnhill’s Box Office in the Visitor Center, 111 W Main Street and by calling 979-337-7240.  While social distancing is in place, tickets cannot be purchased online.
