TEN ACTIVE COVID-19 CASES IN BRENHAM ISD AFTER CASE CONFIRMED IN BRENHAM MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENT
Brenham ISD currently has ten active cases of COVID-19 after reporting a new case Monday in a Brenham Middle School student.
According to a notice sent out to staff and parents by Brenham Middle School Principal Peggy Still, the affected student was last on campus on Friday. The student began having COVID-19 symptoms on Saturday and received a positive diagnosis on Monday.
Through case investigation, Brenham ISD found one other student at the middle school who was in close contact with the student in question.
Anyone who tests positive for COVID-19 cannot come back to school until ten days after the start of symptoms and 24 hours after fever and symptoms have resolved. Anyone who has close contact with someone who tested positive will be notified by phone, and will be required to remain off campus for 14 days.
As of today (Tuesday), Brenham ISD’s COVID-19 dashboard shows the ten active cases, along with a total of 24 cases reported.
