FIRE DEPARTMENT CALLED OUT TO EARLY-MORNING FIRE AT LOCAL HOME

  

The Brenham Fire Department was called on to extinguish a fire inside a local home early this (Thursday) morning.

Just before 2:30 a.m., firefighters were called to the 600 block of Matilda Street, near Henderson Park.

At the scene, the department found that the fan/heater inside the bathroom had caught fire.

BFD members used water extinguishers to extinguish the fire and sheetrock was removed to check for fire extension.

The department used a fan to remove the smoke inside the home.
