THREE ARRESTS MADE IN DEATH INVESTIGATION AT COLLEGE STATION MOTEL

College Station police have arrested three people in connection to a double homicide in late December.

Edward Joseph Hall
(Brazos Co. Jail)

36-year-old Juan Jimenez and 28-year-old Jacob Barrera, Jr. were found dead December 22nd in a room at a motel on Texas Avenue near Southwest Parkway.  34-year-old Edward Joseph Hall of Odessa, 29-year-old Samantha Rae Hill of College Station, and 25-year-old Waymon Edward Richardson of College Station have each been charged in the case.

Hill told police that she and the other two suspects, the two victims and another man were in the motel room smoking methamphetamine when she saw Richardson pull out a pistol and shoot it at the wall.  Hill then left the motel room and heard another gunshot.  Police say the three all got into a vehicle, and Hall told Richardson to get out, taking Hill with him to his apartment.

Authorities executed a search warrant at the apartment, where they found a 12-gauge pump-action shotgun in the living room and methamphetamine.  Several days later, they searched the apartment again and found a Ruger pistol disassembled and hidden inside the walls.

Richardson told investigators that Hall began to act strange the night at the motel and believed he was going to rob Jimenez and Barrera.  Richardson said Hall pulled out a pistol and fired two rounds, one that hit the wall and another that struck Jimenez in the head.  Richardson said Hall then held Barrera at gunpoint and demanded his money, while telling Richardson to collect any other items from inside the room.

Richardson has been in jail since December 23rd for Theft of Property between $2,500 and $30,000, and is now charged with Aggravated Robbery.

Hill is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and Failure to Report a Felony.
