BRENHAM ISD STUDENTS INSPIRE ‘FRIENDSHIP’ ON CAMPUS

Nearly 900 students at Brenham Junior High School will receive “friendship cards” from the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) students on campus.

The unique and customizable cards are a simple way to help brighten a student's day.

Approximately 60 NJHS students in Ms. Jessica Fritsche’s class are helping bring this project to fruition.

Fritsche says she believes the project is a “phenomenal idea that is sure to make a huge impact on the BJHS campus.”

She says they asked the NJHS members what they felt the student body needed most, and their response was “friendship”.

“With COVID-19 going on and all of the regulations we have to follow, it has been more difficult to befriend others - especially those new to our district. The current state of our world has taken a toll on many of our students, so we’re just trying to add a little light back into their lives. With this project, our NJHS leaders are reminding every student that they matter and that they’ve always got a friend at BJHS.”

The “friendship cards” along with a piece of candy will be delivered to students the last week of February.

  1. What an amazing idea.

To all of the students at BJHS,
I just wanted to encourage each of you to open up your hearts to each other today and always. Expanding pass your family and friends to anyone others that God puts in your path.

    Thank y’all,
