A single-vehicle accident on Highway 105 in Brazos County blocked traffic for several hours this (Tuesday) afternoon.

According to DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz, a mobile drilling machine was driving eastbound on Highway 105 headed toward Navasota shortly before noon when it suffered a blowout on its right front tire.  The vehicle then drifted into the guardrail on the Navasota River bridge.

Sgt. Ruiz said the crash was “minor” and that no injuries were reported, but both lanes of the highway were closed while DPS and TxDOT cleared the scene.  The roadway was reopened at approximately 3:15 p.m.
