Fayette County investigators confiscated approximately 9 kilos of cocaine during a traffic stop Monday morning.

Shortly after 9:30 a.m., Fayette County Narcotics K-9 Unit Sergeant Randy Thumann and K-9 Kolt stopped an eastbound Dodge Durango on I-10 at the 667 mile marker for a traffic violation.

After receiving consent to search the vehicle, Sgt. Thumann deployed Kolt, who alerted to the interior of the vehicle for the presence of illegal narcotics.
