MARGARITA FEST MAY 8TH IN DOWNTOWN CALDWELL

Downtown Caldwell will be the place to be for food, fun and drinks next weekend at the Margarita Fest.

Visitors can make their way to downtown next Saturday, May 8th starting at 10 a.m. and sample margaritas while shopping at local businesses.  Live music will be performed by the Aggieland Mariachis and Ricky Montijo.

A margarita contest will run from noon to 3 p.m.  Voting will be done by all individuals that participate in sampling all margaritas.  Samplers will be given a ticket, and the contestant with the most tickets at the end of the day will be declared a winner.

The MasFajitas food truck and pop-up vendors will also be set up in downtown.  The Caldwell High School Spanish Club will be selling Mexican corn on the cob.

Registration to enter the contest ends at 5 p.m. on Monday.  Participants must file an entry form with payment of $10 to the Burleson County Chamber of Commerce.  They must be at least 21 years of age, and are responsible for all tables, chairs, mixing ingredients, set up and clean up.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased the day of the event at the patio of The Humble Life, located at 100 South Echols Street.
