CITY OF BRENHAM ISSUES PERMITS FOR 50 NEW HOMES IN APRIL
New home development paved the way for the highest month of building permits issued by the City of Brenham so far this year.
Right at 50 new homes were permitted in March for $8,202,308. The largest permit issued during the month was to Thielemann Construction for $560,252 for a new home in the 300 block of East Lubbock Street.
Many of the new homes permitted in April are part of the Liberty Village subdivision currently being developed by D R Horton Homes behind Brenham Elementary School on West Blue Bell Road.
A total of 72 permits were issued by the city in April for $8,689,613, compared to 18 permits last April for $2,347,425.
So far this year, the city has issued 148 permits for $18,543,172. Through this time last year, the city had issued 108 permits for $47,037,239.
