BLINN BOARD TO TAKE UP ITEMS FOR BRENHAM CAMPUS FACILITIES, SWEAR IN BOARD MEMBERS
The Blinn Board of Trustees will review several items pertaining to facilities on the Brenham Campus at its meeting Tuesday.
Trustees will consider naming the livestock annex building, proceeding with the design and receiving a guaranteed maximum price for upgrades at Leroy Dreyer Field, and purchasing computer equipment for the science, technology, engineering and innovation building under construction.
Regular session will open Tuesday with the swearing in of Reverend Randy Wells and Rebecca Ehlert to the respective Precinct 1 and 4 positions on the board. Both were unopposed in May’s election and will serve six-year terms. The board will then elect board officers for two-year terms ending in May 2023.
Trustees will also hold a workshop to hear an update on the district-wide facilities master plan. The plan will cover specific goals and visions for the Blinn College District across its entire 13-county area. The board will also receive an update on COVID-19 protocols and discuss the Fiscal Year 2021-22 budget.
The board will meet at 4 p.m. for the workshop and at 5:30 p.m. for its regular meeting. Public access will occur in rooms 2 and 3 of the Brenham Campus Student Center. The meetings will be livestreamed on Blinn College’s YouTube channel.
