LIGHTNING LIKELY CAUSE OF ROOF FIRE AT BRIANNA’S BRENHAM PLANT
A lightning strike likely caused a fire at a high-profile Brenham business.
The Brenham Fire Department was called out just after 9:30 Monday night to the Brianna’s Salad Dressing plant in the 3000 block of South Blue Bell Road. They received mutual aid from Chappell Hill, Meyersville and Salem departments.
At the scene, firefighters found a fire on the roof at the rear of the building. Units extinguished the blaze and checked for any spread inside the building.
Fire damage was limited to the roof, while there was some water damage inside the building.
Firefighters were at the scene for approximately two hours.
