After a year away due to COVID-19, the State Fair of Texas is coming back this fall.

This year’s fair is set to be held Friday, September 24th through Sunday, October 17th, with a theme of “Howdy, Folks!”

In a release this (Wednesday) morning, State Fair of Texas President Mitchell Glieber said this year’s commemorative theme art “encompasses the foundation of what the Fair is all about – being together.”  He said organizers are “grateful to carry on the State Fair’s 135-year history and welcome everyone back with a warm, ‘Howdy Folks!,’ this year.”

Fair officials say the event will adhere to all applicable guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), along with any local, state or federal guidelines.

Held annually in Dallas, last year marked the first time the fair was not held in person since World War II.

Season passes and premium tickets are now on sale at https://bigtex.com.  Daily admission tickets go on sale September 9th.  More information on tickets for this year’s fair will be released in the coming months.
